CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION OF THE MISSIONARY CENACLE - 2009

 

The Family Council has begun exciting discussions concerning our centennial celebration of the Missionary Cenacle in 2009.  It is becoming more evident that the Missionary Cenacle family is more than just one branch.  As we prepare for our centennial celebration, we need to emphasize the fact that the Cenacle Family is an entity.   This reality may not be the common perception throughout the entire Cenacle Family.

 

The experience of Jubilee/Jubilio 2000 will serve as an invaluable example as we plan for 2009.  Our preparations need to involve the grass roots - all of the local  Cenacles.  There will be a major shift in the planning and preparations.  A move from hearing presentations to a process of taking council together as family. 

 

The MCFC sees the following time table:

            2007 will be a year of preparation and planning.

            2008 will be a year of Area meetings to take counsel together and to celebrate the remarkable action of the Holy Spirit in the Cenacle.

            Meetings and celebrations will be held in five areas: North East US, South 

East US, West US, Puerto Rico, Mexico ( which would include Costa Rica and Colombia.)

            During this year of meeting, celebrations and taking counsel together, material will be generated to bring to the large gathering in 2009.

            Delegates/representatives would be chosen from each area to attend the large                                              gathering/celebration in 2009.      

            2009 A large gathering/celebration to process the results of counsel from the Areas.  Delegates/Representatives from the Areas will attend.  The members of each of the Four Councils will attend.  

 

The MCFC will be looking for Cenacle members who have the gifts, talents, creativity, vision, technical skills and dedication to serve on the Core Planning Committee.  So, more information to come in the near future!

 

MISSIONARY CENACLE SPIRITUALITY STATEMENT

 

We really would like to hear from the individual Cenacle’s their responses to the Cenacle Spirituality Statement.  We suggest that each Cenacle make this a priority for discussion and taking council together.  You can e-mail your responses to: mcfspirit@aol.com by Sept. 1, 2004.
